Oooooffff....

Bueno,

This last week was the worst of my mission as far as numbers go. We only had like 7 lessons, and most of the time we were just trying to talk to people in the street and knocking doors. Nobody wanted to talk with us......and it was pretty hard to want to work. I’ve been feeling pretty worthless as a companion because I’m supposed to know the area super well, and know what we should do when our lessons fall through, but I’ve run out of ideas lol.

We were teaching this kid named Benjamin, and he was super interested, but I guess he moved to this mom’s house in another area, and we haven’t been able to talk with him since, super frustrating.

We’ve been trying to ask the members for people that they know that we could teach, but pretty much nobody talks to each other out here. If anybody has any ideas, let me know haha.

Wow this email is depressing,

I just got done talking with my brothers and my sweet mother!!! So there’s something positive! Sounds like everything’s gucci back home.

Oh something super interesting, so Jose, the sorta crazy guy that we’ve been teaching, told us that we don’t know anything because we’re super young, and that he was talking with Jesus and Jesus told him he could smoke and drink all he wanted lol. I’m starting to think that this spirit thing that he’s talking to ain’t Jesus......dat be da devil.

Something funny happened this week: a bird flew into our apartment in the middle of the night, and it was just chilling next to a picture of Jesus. I was like.......¿el Espíritu Santo? jaja we had a fun time trying to get him out.

Anyway, Elder stanger and I are going to try and have some family home evenings with some of the members this week to try and get more members to come to church. We think it will be a good thing.

Hope all is well with all of you back home. Thanks for your prayers!

Apóstoles y Cambios

Que está pasando!?

I’m starting to get a headache from all these changes. Somebody get me a glass of.......purified agua, on the rocks.

Guess we can call our families every week or something. Huge game changer. It’s weird. Not too worried about it. Super crazy.

I need to apologize to my father, and everyone else for not saying something about the conference thing yesterday. Soooooorrrrrryyyyyyy. Elder Renlund came yesterday and spoke to us, that’s why I’m writing on Tuesday. Hey spoke with a lot of power and love. Super funny guy la verdad. He told us a lot of good stuff, but one thing that I liked the most was when he was talking to us about truly giving ourselves to the Lord. He also gave us the love from the prophet, guess they were talking before he left for Argentina and he wanted to make sure that we knew that he loves us. Pretty cool. And something his wife said that was super tight was that we need to be aware of our actions and how they can affect the way people see the church. We as misioneros represent Jesus Christ, so we need to act like it. Sorry that was a little scatterbrained.

My new comp Elder Stanger is from Ogden, Utah. He’s been out for a little bit more than a year. Super nice dude, we get along very well.

Sorry today's been a weird one,

Love you all,

Elder Anderson

¿Líder De Que?

Hola fam n friends,

So, I’m the district leader...........what in tarnation!

Finished my training with Elder Mckeachnie, and they made me district leader. Pretty sure this is how it went down. “Hey who should we mess with this transfer?” “Ummmmm, let’s make that new elder who can’t speak district leader!” “Ya!!!!! Good idea!”

So ya, here we are...........

This last week, we didn’t get to baptize Nathan because he backed out on us last the day before because he didn’t feel ready, when in reality he is literally so ready I could cry, but it’s his choice. Hopefully this next transfer he will feel ready.

Jose, our dear drunk buddy, told us that he saw the baptismal font through a rock in the ground, so ya he’s pretty much ready jaja. Nah we have a long way to go with him, but he’s reading every day in the Book of Mormon, so that’s super awesome. Just needs to stop smoking so dang much.

Today is my last day with my trainer Elder Mckeachnie, and it’s been a good ride. He has helped me become a lot more organized in a lot of things. I’m gonna miss him, and his love of correcting everything I say..jeje no really I love that man.

My next comp se llama Elder Stanger, I think I talked with him one time, but ya I’m going meet him today at like 3.

Gracias for your prayers!

Love you all,

Elder Anderson
