Bautismos y Payasos

Bueno,

Had a great week. Lots of work. The weather is starting to change, which means Imma be strutting that straw hat, white kid that gets burnt by the sun type look. Super excited.

Analia was baptized y’all!!!! The service went very well, and the members are helping a lot with making her feel loved and supported. The ward that I'm in right now works very well with us. Sooo much easier with their help. Love it.

Here in the wonderful country of Argentina, they have a holiday for just about anything. This last month of August they celebrated children every weekend. And man do they go hard. Bouncy houses on every corner, and a whole lot of toys for the children. “But the children love the books!” Anyway, the ward had a party, and made us dress up like clowns...payasos....and we had to entertain for about an hour. It went well I suppose. We´re still waiting for the photos from the members.

Found a family of members that are super into a cool fighting style called capoeira. It’s from Brazil, shout out to my dawgs that served in Brazil, and it’s pretty much like dancing and fighting at the same time. They have about 3 instruments that they use to create a type of rhythm, and this family just so happened to have one of the 3. So ya they totally taught me how to play it. It was so cool.

Hope you all are reading and learning a ton from Come Follow Me. Man that thing is fire. Love all the sweet stuff I’m learning from it.

Anyways, love you all. Try and go out of your way to serve someone else, trust me. You'll feel soo much better.

Egyptian Priestesses and Chickens

Que tal mis queridos,

What a dandy week that we had here in the grand city of Mendoza. Lots of walking and talking with nobody listening, but hey, it was still great. It’s super fun trying to figure out the best way to approach people in the street without them telling you to go and sniff a turtle. Forgive the language...jaja.

Anyway, we were talking with a recent convert named Nelly, who says just about whatever comes to her head about the church, and sometimes she says some super super crazy stuff. We’ve been having some problems in testimony meetings, so we went over to try and help her share a more chill testimony. The other day, we were in her house and she started telling us a story about her grandmother and how she was an Egyptian priestess who could change herself into a chicken or a duck on demand. Pretty weird.

Looks like we’re gonna have a baptism this coming Sunday. SUPER EXCITED! Haven’t helped somebody make this sacred covenant with God in forever. Her name is Analia, and she’s so great. She’s come a long way from where she was, and I’m really excited to see her progress further. This gospel changes lives, it’s truly amazing.

Alma 5: 43-51 is just a little something something y’all can read. Put your name in for Alma’s, sounds cool.

Don’t have any pics cuz I forgot my adapter, sorry.

Love you guys, have a great week.

A Quick Update

Hello Hello Hellooooooo,

Okay so the prophet is coming to Buenos Aires!!! We’ve known for a while, but it’s still pretty cool lol. Everybody is super excited! We get to watch the live broadcast at the stake center I think. Pretty cool.

Okay, so this last week went by pretty quick. We have three sisters who are working toward baptism, but none of them could attend church on Sunday because Satan is the worst. He does anything he can to keep our wonderful people from progressing.

Anyway, the other day I gave a blessing to a sister who is less active in the church and was having troubles with wanting to get out of the house and do stuff. It had been quite a while since I had given a blessing. When I started speaking, the peace that filled my body was super powerful. The priesthood is amazing.

Don’t have a lot of time, love you all so much. The mission is amazing. If you’re thinking about serving, do it already.

The City Life

Family and Friends,

Life as a Zone Leader is great. I get the chance to work with all the missionaries in our zone, and it’s great. My comp Elder Valencia is an amazing missionary. I’m so blessed to be his comp. His family is from Colombia, but he was living in Spain for most of his life. Super great guy.

Wow I totally forgot how the mission is when you’re in the city. So so so different. Ain’t nobody that wants to talk with us lol. It’s like everyone low key hates us. But at the same time it’s great because there are always people in the street. I’ve had to change the way that I talk with people, so that’s been interesting. In order to get a contact, you just gotta talk really fast so the person doesn’t run away, lol.

Anyway, I’ll try to write more next week, but we just recently got a change in how much time we have to write home, so it looks like my emails will be shorter from here on out. Sorry about that.

Sure love all of you! This is the true church, Jesus lives, and I love being a missionary.
