EnseƱando como Locos

Hey guys,

So this last week was full of teaching new families, talking with Jehovah's Witnesses, and freaking out about how awesome 1 Nephi 22 is. If you want some super sweet doctrine to study, hit it up.

We found 4 new families that are just so darn great. We set a baptism date with two young chicos that are 11 and 9. Their mother and father need to get married, but we’ve got faith that it’s gonna workout with da whole fam bam.

Another family that we taught this week was a reference from a member. LET’S GIVE IT UP FOR ALL DEM MEMBERS OUT DER WORKING WITH THE MISSIONARIES, YOU DA REAL ONES. Anyway, we went and taught the whole family, 3 sons and little girl, along with their parents, and it went super great. Once again, the First Vision was so so powerful. Think we’re gonna have some great experiences with this family.

Other than that, ain’t got a lot of news for yall. I’m feeling good. Little bit fatter than I wuz, but hey, all they give me to eat is bread and pasta lol.

Love you guys, thanks for your prayers!

I Ain't Leaving

Heyooo

Imma have one more transfer with the great Elder Chavez en Media Agua! Super excited.

We’ve been helping out more with teaching English, and that’s been really great.

Talked to my old man yesterday, sure do miss that guy. He taught me a whole lot of things that I’ve been able to use here in the mission. Love you, pops.

We’re about to play some futbol, so Imma end this super lame email by saying I love yall, and that God does too.

I Still Hate Dogs

Hola fam,

Story Time. The other day we were waiting outside of a house and this little kid who was like 3 was walking past us, and a dog straight up mugged the child. It jumped up on its hind legs and started mauling this kid. So my comp, being the stud that he is, kicked the dog, and saved the kid’s life. We gotta do something about these dogs. For real though.

Anyway......this week was pretty good. We taught a few new people, and I got to interview another girl that got baptized in my district.

I’ve been really seeing the gift of tongues work in my life as a missionary. I”m speaking more and more confidently, and I know that the Lord sustains his missionaries. But I also know that we need to put in our personal effort first.

I’ve been reading the Book of Mormon like a mad man. Think Imma finish it today. Man, the Book of Mormon is so much better in Spanish lol. Y’all best be reading!

OH YA! I’ve got 8 months in the mission! Yahooooo!

Wow, what a random email.

We taught some young boys who are missionaries for the Catholic church, and man it was super great. They totally were inviting us to their activities, jaja it was great. We taught them the Restoration, and they really liked what they heard. At the very end of the lesson, one of the boys said the prayer and it was super cool because he just about ended the prayer like he always has done, but instead, he ended in the name of Jesus Christ. They told us that they’d try and continue to pray in the way that we taught them.

We have a bunch of fruit outside our little house, and we had so much that we decided to give some to the people that we are teaching. It was pretty cool to see how happy it made them when we gave them the fruit. A lot of people here don’t have steady jobs, so anything helps. Growing up, my mother always sang the hymn “Because I Have Been Given Much.” Being here on the mission, those words have never meant more to me.

Anyway, sorry that this email was super random.

I love the mission, and I love who the Lord is helping me become.

Drinking Mate so She Don't Kill Me

Hola Hola! No time!

We were teaching a woman this last week, and she offered us some mate. We told her that we have a rule as missionaries that we can’t drink mate outside of our house for health reasons, and she got a little fired up. She went off on us and told us that she’d be offended if we didn’t drink mate with her, so.......we broke a rule and drank mate........yup I’m going to hell. Thanks for all the love, see y’all later..........nah but I made sure that she understood why we have the rule. It’s mostly to conserve time but also, if we as missionaries are drinking mate with every family that we teach, we gotta use the bathroom every 15 min. Anyone who’s drank mate before can explain jaja and for those of you heathens who don’t know what mate is, just look it up on Google, ya bunch of cuties.

Bueno, we went to some pretty cool spots these last two p-days. I’ll try and send some pics

We spent a few days in Mendoza because my comp had to do some paperwork stuff, and after all that we got to help out some Elders in their area. I may or may not have gotten into a low key Bible bash.......freaking Elder Anderson is doing everything wrong, I know I know. My comp ended up trying to end it, and we left, and felt super bad, but also I learned that as a missionary, I ain’t out here to hide what I know to be true, and if somebody is saying stuff that’s straight wrongooo, Imma set ‘em straight.

Anyway, this gospel is true kids. Ain’t no doubt in my heart, and I don’t care what the world says. There’s a God, and he’s working miracles in the lives of thousands, and I get to see them everyday. Jesus is the Christ, and I know he lives. James 14:13.

Fotos- Pedernal, it’s freaking cold here, and Hayden! I found the same statue of Shrek. Freaking died when I saw it.
