Story Time. The other day we were waiting outside of a house and this little kid who was like 3 was walking past us, and a dog straight up mugged the child. It jumped up on its hind legs and started mauling this kid. So my comp, being the stud that he is, kicked the dog, and saved the kid’s life. We gotta do something about these dogs. For real though.
Anyway......this week was pretty good. We taught a few new people, and I got to interview another girl that got baptized in my district.
I’ve been really seeing the gift of tongues work in my life as a missionary. I”m speaking more and more confidently, and I know that the Lord sustains his missionaries. But I also know that we need to put in our personal effort first.
I’ve been reading the Book of Mormon like a mad man. Think Imma finish it today. Man, the Book of Mormon is so much better in Spanish lol. Y’all best be reading!
OH YA! I’ve got 8 months in the mission! Yahooooo!
Wow, what a random email.
We taught some young boys who are missionaries for the Catholic church, and man it was super great. They totally were inviting us to their activities, jaja it was great. We taught them the Restoration, and they really liked what they heard. At the very end of the lesson, one of the boys said the prayer and it was super cool because he just about ended the prayer like he always has done, but instead, he ended in the name of Jesus Christ. They told us that they’d try and continue to pray in the way that we taught them.
We have a bunch of fruit outside our little house, and we had so much that we decided to give some to the people that we are teaching. It was pretty cool to see how happy it made them when we gave them the fruit. A lot of people here don’t have steady jobs, so anything helps. Growing up, my mother always sang the hymn “Because I Have Been Given Much.” Being here on the mission, those words have never meant more to me.
Anyway, sorry that this email was super random.
I love the mission, and I love who the Lord is helping me become.
